Take That have had their Wembley stadium tour on for over a week and has possibly gathered mass crowds. Today marks the day (hopefully) that is comes to an end. After this much time, the transport system has been grounded, even though most are buses. There are cars in this area that would never be here unless a concert has occurred. My usually bus journey at this time would be on average 5 minutes before I need to get off, sometimes 7 minutes if there are traffic lights. I have moved 10 metres in 15 minutes, which can be used as a comparison to my “normal” average.
Purpose of this blog? Cut down on the cars, and use transport. Hundreds of cars creating tonnes of pollution just sitting there in gridlock. Having fewer cars would ease everyone’s journeys as well as make everyone’s journey times possibly shorter. I understand that some people have come from far away. For those I would say park further away, benefit from cheaper parking and use the underground where possible. This would not only solve problems with buses, but also allow people to get out of the area quicker than parking at the stadium.
